Dear Heather, Brian & Family,

 Our family would like to thank you once again for making  our week at the cabin a very fun and memorable one. 
 
This was our 8th year at your resort and every year we enjoy the great host and hostess, the many friends we have made over the years and the many activities provided during the week as well as a clean and comfortable cabin. 
 
The ice cream social is great as well as the pontoon ride for the ladies and the fishing contest for the young children.  Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the rocket building, the tie-dye t-shirts, the jewelry making, woodworking and the yummy campfire donuts Brian makes each year!
 
Thank you again for a wonderful week and we are already looking forward to next year!!

We had a great weekend!  The cabin is really nice & we love the interior decorating.  The scrapbooking tools were wonderful and we learned how to make all kinds of shapes to embellish our pages.  We'll spread the word and we'll be back soon.

Dear Brian and Heather:  On behalf of the Fitzgerald Family, thank you for making our stay so very enjoyable, even in the face of some unexpected business challenges I had to take care of.  You two are such gracious hosts. 

We appreciated the clean and modern cabins.  The kitchen was spacious, had plenty of refrigerator space, and the utensils and pots where such we could make just about anything. 

Some of the activities we enjoyed were the fresh doughnuts made over the campfire, rocket making, and jewelry making.  It was great bonding time with our children.  Some of the activities allowed Sandy and I some alone time as well. 

I think a vacation is about enjoying your loved ones, resting, taking in God's wonderful creation, indulging in good food, and having fun.  Thanks for helping us fulfill this.

We had a perfect trip. Nina loved playing with Iain. When we come again we will have to make sure he is in town! Nina really enjoyed all of the activities and being able to freely come and go in the resort with her bike. My sister and I liked the quiet time and the views from the swing.  She said yesterday she wished she was still at the resort on the swing looking out over the water.
Your family does a brilliant job with the resort and we will look forward to seeing whatever is new or different next time we visit.
Oh and Jan and I really enjoyed the pontoon ride. It was very special to see the lake with you. The cookies, the campfire donuts, and ice cream social around the camp fire was very nice, and helped us to get to know our neighbors so the kids could play.

Brian and Heather,

Thank you for checking on our stay. We had a great time. Fishtrap is such a pretty lake and it was great for me to spend some time on the lake after being away for many years.

The kids had a great time playing in the water and we all appreciated the separation of the floating toys for the older swimmers from the shallow beach area for the little kids.

We all appreciated the great things you have done with the Resort:                                      - Everything (pretty much) in good repair

- Plenty of vehicle and trailer parking

- Well stocked lodge store with interesting novelty items

- ICE CREAM

- Available boats (even though we didn't use them, next time we'll probably use one of the

pontoons)

- Friendly owners and staff

- Decent grills for each cabin. Even though ours needed cleaning when we arrived, we noticed that it was being cleaned, both ash and grate on the day we were leaving.

We had a great time, thought it was one of our best vacations ever and would like to return next year, Lord willing. We all liked the crafts everyday, the rockets were a highlight. The accomodations were very good. I (Kirby) really liked the golf course as well. We're not sure what could be changed, just keep doing what you do. We really liked being with your family in the evenings around the fire. Maybe an "ice-breaker" at the fire would help the "newer" people to become acquainted with the rest of the guests. I hope you all have a great rest of the summer. -Kirby

 
3rd time for me but first for 2 of the kids and they all loved it. My wife and I like to boat and play around Brainerd. The kids like the activities and playing on the lake. We all stay as busy as we WANT to be. I'm not sure I'd want anything changed. :)

Hi Heather & Brian,

Thank you for your hospitality while we were there - you were both kind and
helpful. We had a wonderful time playing at the resort and seeing all our
family ... yes definitely some great memories. We especially liked the
water toys and the games room. We had never seen the game 'carpet ball'
before but it soon became one of our favorites because it was suitable for
all ages, abilities and fitness levels.

We enjoyed the cabins they were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the
showers had good water pressure.

We had a lot of fun; my favorite was watching Izabela try out the water equipment for the first time. Fishing was great too; we had fish for dinner every night. And we really enjoyed working together on all kinds of fun projects that Heather organized for us. Having a latte every day was definitely a bonus! And the fire, and the doughnuts, etc, etc.

Thank you for your hospitality and all the hard work.

I grew up going to a resort when I was young and I want the same for my girls and we hit the jackpot when we found your resort. I couldn't ask for much more of an experience for them than you offer, so thank you for that.

As for memories being made....we will never forget our time spent at Campfire Bay Resort! The past three years have always been eventful for us (both good and bad), but for sure we will never forget it and we can't wait to come back. It's all the girls talk about for a year is going back to the cabin. I have decided to keep a journal of our times there along with pictures so the girls will have memory books when they are older. I could almost write a book :).

Please don't EVER discontinue campfire doughnut night - the best ever!!!!

For the past 25 years, we have vacationed in a variety of resorts but for the past 6 years we have returned to Campfire Bay Resort and we have found our summer home.  Brian & Heather welcome you and it seems like you’re at your resort.  What a peaceful feeling, hearing the waves lap on the shore, hearing the loons call and seeing other wildlife even including eagles flying overhead.  Of course, there’s the great fishing.  Big crappies abound throughout the summer but especially in May & June.  We’ve caught good size walleyes, bass & sunfish too.  Fish Trap Lake has many bays and so offers opportunities to fish no matter what the weather.  The cabins are close to the water for swimming or relaxing on a float.  You can do absolutely nothing but read all day long or participate in a variety of activities.  Water sports; hydro-bikes, paddleboat, canoes, kayaks, dock fishing or creative projects, jewelry making or wood projects are all available.  These are the reasons we continue to return year after year.

Thank you for our fabulous (too short!) stay at your adorable resort.  We all wished that we had booked a few more nights and yours will be the resort that we will return to in the future.  I believe we stayed in cabin 6 (?) with another family and thought the cabin was very well appointed and had everything we needed. 
 
We loved the family atmosphere as we both have young children and your personal family involvement was refreshing.  Its apparent that you love what you are doing!

Oh thank you for letting us be your guests at your great resort. The Pine Beach "cabin" is great! All kinds of room to spread out and we really enjoyed the art work, especially the Campfire Bay "posters". I don't think we have ever been in a resort kitchen that was so well equipped, almost had trouble finding space for groceries. You have obviously gone to the trouble of adding so many little extras that we felt comfortable right away. If Brian could only drop a couple of trees in the lake; I usually fish crappies in wood and didn't find much wood other than docks. We were catching more fish each day as we learned from the lake and I'll bring some different tackle next time to better match the type of fishing. The bass are really chunks and we caught some nice ones; I like to look them over, give them a kiss, and then release them. . . . ok, maybe not the kiss part.

For sure my friends will be hear what a neat resort Campfire Bay is; it will come highly recommended.

Jack had an AWESOME time, but I know he would've loved having some toys/tools to play with in the water. Maybe people bring these items w/them, but we were pretty limited on space since we flew.

We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future - we LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!! My parents and my brother's family also really enjoyed it and I'm sure will be back w/o us in the future!! It was a pleasure to stay there and get to know you both a little better!!
